We’ve been building our bale plucker and we even got to take it on a little test drive!

As you can see in the pictures below, the main column has been put in place on the rail track. When it’s in operation, 28 bales will be put in a line each side of the track and the detacher arm will travel over them, plucking a small amount of cotton lint from the top of each bale as it goes, sending the fibres to the blowroom for cleaning and blending.
