Look for the English Fine Cottons Armband at Chester Races

English Fine Cottons is proud to be the sponsors of the Leading Jockey and Leading Trainer competitions at this week’s Chester Races Boodles May Festival.

The winners of the competitions will each win a bespoke mac by Manchester based label Private White VC – made from fabrics woven from our luxury yarns.

And race-goers can spot the leading jockeys throughout the three-day meeting at Chester racecourse because they will be sporting our specially-made English Fine Cottons armbands.

The armbands were manufactured by North West weavers DHJ Weisters, who created a unique jacquard fabric with our compact spun Supima and silk.

The cotton and silk fabric was woven at their headquarters in Darwen and the armbands were made at the company’s sewing operation, in Macclesfield. Take a look at the video below to see how it was done.

The winners of the Leading Jockey and Trainer competitions will be announced on Friday.

We are also sponsoring a race on Ladies Day, Thursday – the 16.35 English Fine Cottons Handicap Stakes.
