Cotton In The News

English Fine Cottons has been hitting the headlines again and we’ve seen a series of great articles and news items reflecting these exciting times for Britain’s textile industry.

Here’s our news round-up from the last week:

If you missed the fantastic feature on Granada Reports about the return of cotton, you can watch it here:

The item also featured our friends at John Spencer, the Burnley-based weavers we are working with to make high quality shirting materials, and celebrity tailor and Great British Sewing Bee judge, Patrick Grant.

Elsewhere, the growing demand for products with the Made In Britain stamp is becoming a real talking point.  The Guardian published this article about the increasing numbers of  UK designers choosing to work with manufacturers closer to home.

And the issue of Britain’s impending departure from Europe prompted The Financial Times to ask will our fashion industry survive Brexit?

If you’re flying with British Airways in November, be sure to grab a copy of their Business Life magazine, which features an article about the renaissance of Britain’s garment manufacturing industry on the cover.
