From Cotton Yarn to Fabric
After a few weeks of producing beautiful cotton yarns at our now almost fully operational mill, we are starting to get them out to our customers, to be made into high quality fabrics.
We’ve been busy working with partner manufacturers to get our Supima® cotton yarns woven and finished into samples of a variety of different shirting and bed-linen fabrics.
We’re thrilled about the number of retailers and designers hoping to be able to offer products entirely manufactured in Britain, and we are currently working with a host of well-known brands.
English Fine Cottons’ Tracy Hawkins said: “There have been lots of stories in the news recently about the uncertainty of the origin of certain products, and investigations into child labour in the international textiles industry.
“Consumers are becoming more and more conscientious about buying British-made products, produced in an ethical way.
“At the same time, we’re seeing a resurgence in the UK’s fashion industry, which shows retailers and designers are listening to their customers.”
Here at English Fine Cottons we hope that before long, people will be able to buy high quality items made from our luxurious cotton yarns.
