Tower Mill Tours Back By Popular Demand

UPDATE ON 15/02/2018: Two more public open days have been added – Saturday, June 30th and Saturday, September 15th.

Once again, we are opening the doors of Tower Mill and inviting members of the public to visit our state of the art cotton production plant.

It’ll be the third time we’ve hosted a round of open days in response to the regular requests we receive from our many supporters.

Our main public open day will be held on Saturday, May 19th, and we’re also hosting a number of pre-arranged tour days for community groups from March through to July.

Act quickly to bag your place

If you’d like to attend the May event, you can email our HR manager Jean McLoughlinn  (JMcloughlin@culimeta-saveguard.com). Places are limited and will be offered on a first-come first-serve basis.

There are also a number of places available on the other tours, so if you can be flexible, just let Jean know in your email and we might be able to offer you another date.

See how we’ve progressed

Visitors will get the chance to see just how much English Fine Cottons has progressed in recent months.

You’ll be one of the first to see the completed showroom and entrance lobby, which is coming along brilliantly.

There’s our four new doubling machines plus our sixth spinning frame, which hadn’t even arrived when we carried out the last tours in the summer.

Now we’ve been in full-production for well over a year, there’s an increasing number of towers of cotton cones to walk-around. If you’re lucky enough to get a place, our resident cotton experts will walk you through each of the three production floors, so you can see first-hand how we make our beautiful cotton yarns.
